Daphne – A shrub that perfumes the Spring air
A name given to quite a diverse range of underrated fragrant shrubs that can flower for months on end. The flowers are small and pretty and the fragrance is intoxicating – enough to stop anyone in their tracks!
They are relatively unfussy shrubs which manage well in part shade and sunny conditions. The most important thing is to choose a position where it won’t easily outgrow as they resent lots of pruning.
